Evergreen shrub has soft gray willow-like foliage and smooth gray bark. Slightly fragrant, small, white flowers followed by black, edible fruit late summer to fall. High yield of medium-sized olives makes this specimen the most common olive used for a Tuscan style oil. Great for Mediterranean gardens! Olives must be processed.
Green Thumb Guide
Highly adaptable, thrives in most soils with good drainage. Increase productivity by planting next to another olive tree. Protect young plants from frost.
These characteristics apply to the greater Sacramento area and nearby regions.
