Round, low-growing conifer has thick, dark green needles held densely along slow-growing branches. Good choice for rock gardens, containers or mass plantings.
Plant in enriched soil with good drainage. Prune in spring to remove dead or dying branches. Feed in spring before new growth with an all purpose fertilizer.
These characteristics apply to the greater Sacramento area and nearby regions.
