Clusters of rose pink flowers on bare branches appear in spring and are followed by medium green, heart-shaped leaves. Does not produce seedpods. Makes for a great lawn tree or container plant.

Grows best in well draining, slightly alkaline soil. Prefers an area that received some shade during the hottest part of the day. Prune back to desired shape and size during winter. Feed with a tree and shrub fertilizer in late winter to early spring.
