Upright, spreading branches form a crown adorned by clusters of fragrant, white blossoms in spring followed by small, black fruit. Glossy dark green foliage turns yellow in fall. Use as a specimen, group planting, shade, street or lawn tree.
Flourishes in enriched, well draining soil. Prune to maintain shape and structure after blooms. Feed with a tree and shrub fertilizer in early spring before new growth emerges.
