Evergreen single or multi-trunk tree has long, narrow, grey-green foliage. Slightly fragrant, small, white flowers followed by black fruit late summer to fall. Fruit must be processed before consuming. Great for Mediterranean gardens! Fruit used for eating, pickling and oil production. Fruit contains 20-22% oil content.
Highly adaptable, thrives in most soils with good drainage. Increase productivity by planting next to another olive tree. Protect young plants from frost.
These characteristics apply to the greater Sacramento area and nearby regions.
