Vigorous all male variety with savory flavor. Spring brings a bountiful harvest of large, tender, flavorful spears. Planted beds are remarkably disease resistant and can continue to produce for up to 20 years!

Plant in enriched garden soil with good drainage after the soil has warmed up to 50 degrees. Plant crowns 4" below surface and 12-16 inches apart in rows with at least 3' between each row. Mulch to protect roots. Cut back to ground in winter after plant tops have turned brown. Plants will begin to produced spears during second year and can be lightly harvested. Harvest by cutting spears with pruners or a sharp knife at ground level. Feed during the growing season with a vegetable fertilizer about once a month.
