Deciduous tree with a round or vase-shaped habit and dark green foliage that turns yellow in fall. Produces long, red to black, sweet fruit in early summer.
Can be maintained at 15'-20' tall with regular summer pruning.

Flourishes in well draining, enriched soil. Stake young plants until a good root structure forms. Prune to shape in winter. Feed with an all purpose fertilizer in spring before new growth appears.
