Heirloom lima bean variety with high heat tolerance and versatile, ornate beans. Medium-sized pods emerge in summer containing red and white striped lima beans with rich flavor. Beans turn mottled purple to brown hue when dried. Great for steaming, freezing, sauteing, grilling and canning and can be dried.

Plant in enriched garden soil 1-2 weeks after last frost. Leave 12" of space between each plant. Fertilize when transplanting and when beans are about to bloom. Provide a trellis to support growing plants. Water early morning or late evening.
