Hardy evergreen tree fern with a thick, red-brown, fuzzy trunk. Green, finely cut fronds grow in an upright arching habit. Used as a container plant.

Prefers enriched, well draining soil, hardy to 20° F. Keep away from hot or persistent winds. Apply mulch to conserve moisture and cool the root zone. Periodically feed with a light fertilizer.
