Deciduous shrub with an upright, rounded habit. Large, green-centered, deep blue or vibrant pink flower clusters bloom in summer. Variety was selected for it's rich color saturation, with moody blue color in acidic soils and heart-throb pink in alkaline. Use in containers, as an accent plant or border.
Performs best in enriched, well draining soil. Apply mulch to protect roots from cold winters, and help retain moisture. Feed with hydrangea fertilizer in spring. Dead head to encourage new blooms.
These characteristics apply to the greater Sacramento area and nearby regions.
