Plant in enriched garden soil with good drainage after danger of 100° weather has passed. Plant in rows leaving 12" of space between each row. Add fertilizer to soil before transplanting. Water early morning or late evening. Blanch or cover stalks 3-4 weeks before harvest for best quality.
